Do you enjoy keeping places clean, safe and well maintained? Join Amplius’ Estate Services team as a Caretaker, helping maintain homes, communal areas and grounds while supporting customers, colleagues and contractors.

Salary: £29,137.58 per year

Contract:

6-month fixed term contract

Your week: 37 hours - Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm (early finish on Fridays)

Snapshot of your role

* Carry out cleaning, housekeeping and decorating across communal areas, following planned schedules and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

* Maintain gardens, grounds, buildings and surrounding areas, keeping them tidy, safe and presentable.

* Complete general maintenance, minor repairs and building works across communal areas and residential properties, including preparing homes for re-let.

* Respond to maintenance requests, repair fixtures, fittings and equipment, and report more complex issues while supporting preventative maintenance.

* Manage cleaning materials, tools and equipment, keeping stock levels up to date and reporting defects or shortages.

* Provide good customer service while completing health and safety, fire safety, COSHH and compliance checks, maintaining accurate records and reporting risks, hazards and safeguarding concerns.

What you’ll need to thrive in this role

* Experience in cleaning or caretaking, including using power equipment and carrying out basic DIY and maintenance work.

* Experience completing basic maintenance repairs and health and safety checks.

* Good organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on your own initiative and meet customer expectations.

* Experience working face to face with people and as part of a team, with good communication skills.

* A good level of education, such as GCSE standard, or equivalent experience.

Important – Enhanced DBS clearance, full UK drivers licence, access to your own vehicle, and right to work in the UK are essential requirements. We do not provide sponsorship.
