Quality inspectors who are hands‑on and have a pragmatic and realistic approach to inspection and engineering. I have an exciting opportunity to work for an approachable, down‑to‑earth manager within a sub‑contract machine shop.
The company manufactures and supplies precision machined components to the scientific and medical industries and is constantly growing. It offers a flexible approach to working hours – whether that be an 8am‑5pm or 9am‑6pm shift – with overtime and occasional weekend work for those who want extra hours.
The team enjoys monthly snacks (bacon, sandwiches, pizzas) and quarterly nights out for curries, beers, or even a game of bowling – what more could you ask for?
Responsibilities- Use manual inspection tools to evaluate components.
- Interpret and use engineering drawings.
- Operate a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM); experience is an advantage.
- Identify and solve inspection and engineering problems.
- Pragmatic and realistic approach to inspection.
- Experience with manual inspection tools.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings.
- Experience operating a CMM is advantageous.
- Inspector or machinist looking to transition away from the machines is encouraged to apply.
