Manufacturing Machine Operator

Location:

St Neots, Cambridgeshire
Salary: 27,000/year + Overtime
Shift Pattern: 12-hour rotating shifts (2 days, 2 nights, 4 on / 6 off)

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Manufacturing Machine Operator to join our production team on a temp to permanent basis. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring product quality, operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment, and supporting the smooth and efficient running of production processes. Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor machinery to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production
• Set up, start, shut down, and change over production lines in line with operating procedures
• Adjust machine settings to optimise performance and product quality
• Monitor product quality through regular inspection and testing
• Carry out routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• Follow health, safety, and operational procedures
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience operating manufacturing machinery
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and quality standards
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work instructions
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer literacy for production reporting and documentation
