A Youth Counselor is a frontline professional who works directly with children and adolescents experiencing mental health, behavioral, or emotional challenges. The role is hands-on and focused on providing day-to-day support, structure, and guidance in a therapeutic setting in our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility.

What we're looking for: Full-time (72-80 hours per pay period) and part-time (~24 hours per pay period) Youth Counselors. This position provides quality client care and close, intensive supervision of our clients. Youth Counselors need to be able to work every other weekend and have availability to work evenings and holidays.
Responsibilities- Provide daily structure and supervision for clients in a residential setting
- Support youth in developing coping, communication, and life skills
- Respond to behavioral or emotional crises with compassion and positive intervention strategies
- Serve as a positive role model while maintaining healthy boundaries
- Assist with schoolwork, recreational activities, and group programming
- Ensure safety and maintain a clean, supportive environment
- Document client progress, behaviors, and incidents as required
- Play an essential role in health and safety by administering medications responsibly and following program guidelines
- Collaborate with other team members to support client care
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Able to stay calm and emotionally available in an environment serving disturbed youth
- Bachelor's degree in social services, human services, or related field preferred
- Competitive pay: $19.36-$20.63, depending on education and experience
