Responsibilities- Provide labor relations research, analysis, consultation, and direction to all levels of management and others to interpret and implement collective bargaining agreements and plans applicable to DCT.
- Advise, train, and coach managers, supervisors, and employees regarding policy, procedures, and requirements for investigations of employee misconduct and performance management, including the issuance of discipline to ensure effective performance management.
- Act as a lead HR representative and strategic partner with assigned business partner managers, supervisors, and other internal/external stakeholders; provide advanced HR advice and assistance to contribute to the success of the assigned program area.
- 3 years of human resources experience in three or more of the following areas, at least one of which must be within the labor relations/employee relations category:
- Labor and/or employee relations (managing consultation, labor contract, unrepresented employee plan administration and interpretation, employment law, performance management, investigations, discipline and discharge, dispute resolution such as grievance hearings or mediation, union relations)
- Strategic planning
- Talent acquisition and retention
- Job analysis/classification
- Transactions of HR action items
- Compensation
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Organizational Management (or related field) will substitute for 1 year of professional level work experience.
- Knowledge of State of Minnesota employment law, rules, and administrative processes.
- Human Resources experience in a union environment.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and confidentiality skills.
