Health Care Aide at Selkirk Seniors Village

In this casual role, you'll assist residents by performing personal care tasks and monitoring their health status. As a member of the care team, you will ensure that residents are treated with respect and participate in their care.

Your role will involve working closely with nursing staff to address any changes or concerns in resident well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with bathing, grooming, and dressing for residents

• Respond to call bells and monitor safety protocols

• Document observations and report significant changes

• Provide support during meals and aid with nutrition

• Participate in community and educational programs

Requirements:

• Completion of a recognized Care Aide program

• Registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry

• Medication Administration Certification is a plus

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs

• Pass the required Criminal Record Check
