Treatment Plant Operator

Position: Full-Time Treatment Plant Operator
Become an integral part of the Municipal District of St. Stephen as a full-time Treatment Plant Operator. You'll be responsible for monitoring systems and ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.

In this union position, you'll report to the Director of Infrastructure – Public Works. Your duties will include the operation, maintenance, and repair of the wastewater collection and treatment system. This includes lagoons, sanitary sewers, pumping stations, and more. Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes

• Collect samples and perform routine testing

• Maintain records and ensure regulatory compliance

• Conduct preventative maintenance on treatment systems

• Inspect and coordinate maintenance activities

Requirements:

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent

• Class II Wastewater Treatment Operator Certification

• Experience in wastewater systems operation

• Valid Class 3F New Brunswick Driver's License

• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
