Overview
Serenity Hospice Care has locations all over NJ, in facilities and in their homes. Some locations are Tinton Falls, Brick, Freehold, Newark, Lakewood, Toms River, East Orange, Hammonton, Galloway and others.
We are seeking caring people to give time to patients by having conversations, watching TV, reading, giving a gentle touch or sharing a peaceful moment. No prior experience is required; we will teach you everything you need to know. We value your time and will work around your schedule and location preferences.
The volunteer experience is rewarding for both you and the patient. Bring a smile or a moment of peace to a patient in need.
There are two types of volunteers:
Administrative Volunteers and Direct Patient Volunteers. Administrative Volunteers assist with filing, phones, mailers, promotional information and other clerical tasks (located at 56 Georgetown Road, Bordentown, NJ 08505). Direct Patient Volunteers visit patients in facilities to offer companionship by listening, talking, reading, or watching TV. Special talents such as Pet Therapy, Music, Art, Knitting are appreciated.
We reimburse travel time. Volunteers are part of our family and receive support every step of the way. We encourage you to share your talents to enhance patient well-being and quality of life.
