Patient Observer - Float - Per Diem Nights

PATIENT OBSERVER - FLOAT - PER DIEM NIGHTS

Location: Southern Ocean Medical Center, Manahawkin, New Jersey

Shift: Night, Per Diem, Float

Patient Observer provides bedside safety and monitoring for admitted patients under RN direction. This role supports patient safety, suicide precautions, line of sight, and behavior restraints.

• Monitor patient safety and behavior under RN supervision.
• Provide frequent checks for patients on one-to-one supervision for suicide precautions, behavior restraints, line of sight, or patient safety.
• Ensure patients do not fall or wander off; provide direction and safe environment.
• Record and document patient behavior and watch orders.
• Travel with patients when needed and maintain mobility for period of time.

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for periods of time and maintain mobility.
• Experience with isolation precautions.
• Preferred:
  Previous hospital experience;
  Patient Care Technician, Nursing Assistant, EMT, Nurse Aide, or current Nursing/Psychology student.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.

Minimum rate: $17.12 hourly. Shift differentials for night shifts may apply.
