• Responsible for the safety of the patients under the direction of the registered nurse.
• Must be able to work in situations with isolation precautions.
• Provide frequent checks on patients that have a patient watch order.
• Provide direction to patient to ensure that they do not fall or wander off.
• Record and document patient behavior.
• Must be able to travel with patient when needed.
• Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
• Adheres to HMH organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

• High school diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
• The ability to stay mobile according to the patients' movement including the ability to stand for periods of time.
• Must be able to work in situations with isolation precautions.

• Previous work experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Experience as a patient care technician, nursing assistant, medical assistant, EMT, nurse aide training, or current nursing/psychology student are all preferred.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required prior to performing patient observation.

Minimum hourly rate of $17.12. Compensation and benefits are determined based on experience, location, and market data. The rate of pay may be stated as an hourly rate or an annual salary in the offer.
