Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.
- Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient's needs.
- Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Develops, implements, and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.
- Initiates assessment based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
- Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
- Manages care of patients.
- Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
- Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
- Provides patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required
Education:
ASN.
Preferred Education: BSN Preferred.
Required Certifications & Licensure:BLS must be AHA.

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Every Other Weekend Required. Holidays
- At least one per season. No on Call. 13 Week assignment.
Min 1-2 years of recent L&D experience Required. BLS-aha, ACLS-aha, and NRP Certifications all
- Required. Mother/Baby and or Nursery Experience
- Preferred. This is a LDPR (Labor/Delivery, Postpartum Recovery) Unit- both mother/baby and L&D on the same unit. Patient Ratio:
Varies everyday based on type of patients caring for.
- Mother/Baby- 1:3-4 - Labor Patient- 1:2. Must be highly reliable and be available to work all days other than those that were pre-disclosed prior to offer. Must not have alternative jobs that would interfere with HMH schedule being a priority.
