Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Hackensack Meridian Health provides direct care to a variety of complex patients, focusing on achieving desired outcomes through effective communication and coordination with the healthcare team.

• Pay: $43 - $43/hour
• Location: Manahawkin, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Department/Unit: Emergency Department
• Schedule: Part-time, Day shift

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Develop a plan of care with strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Administer medications utilizing bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes and initiate interventions as needed.
• Identify ethical issues in the practice setting and address them appropriately.
• Maintain competencies, certifications, and continuing education for accreditation requirements.

• BSN preferred and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire

• 6+ months of relevant nursing experience required
• 1 year or more of acute care nursing experience strongly preferred
• Emergency department experience preferred

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license required
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification required
• ACLS preferred
• PALS preferred
