We specialize in retail, restaurant, office, and industrial projects, supporting developers and operators across Texas and beyond. Our work balances code compliance, constructability, and business performance—designs that are not only compelling, but buildable and efficient. We are growing and seeking a Licensed Project Architect who can lead commercial projects from concept through permit and construction documentation.
Role OverviewAs a Project Architect, you will take ownership of the architectural delivery of commercial projects, leading design development, consultant coordination, and construction documentation. You will translate client objectives, brand standards, and regulatory requirements into clear, buildable architectural solutions.
Responsibilities Project Leadership & Design Execution- Analyze client goals, site conditions, zoning, and code requirements to inform architectural solutions
- Design and develop commercial projects from schematic design through construction documents
- Ensure architectural intent aligns with constructability, budget, and schedule
- Produce and oversee SD, DD, and CD drawing sets using Revit and AutoCAD
- Maintain accuracy, coordination, and clarity across architectural documents
- Review and redline junior staff work for quality, compliance, and constructability
- Lead coordination with structural, MEP, civil, and specialty consultants
- Resolve design conflicts and ensure integrated documentation
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Recommend value-engineered solutions that balance cost, schedule, performance, and aesthetics
- Improve internal workflows and documentation standards to support scalable delivery
- Benchmark industry trends, materials, and systems to bring informed innovation to projects
- Contribute to elevating the studio’s design and technical standards
- Active U.S. Architectural License
- 5+ years of professional experience in commercial architecture
- Proven experience delivering permit-ready construction documents
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Experience with 3D modeling and rendering tools (Enscape, Sketch Up, Lumion, or similar)
- Strong working knowledge of IBC, ADA, and Texas building codes
- Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills
- Portfolio demonstrating commercial projects, including:
- Construction documentation
- Code-driven layouts
- Technical detailing
- Built or permitted work preferred
