As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will work to increase student count, ensuring each student continues to grow, develop, and enjoys playing music while nurturing our culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect.
Responsibilities- Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on the needs of the community.
- Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
- Assist with customer service as needed, helping to build and maintain long‑term students by creating a great experience.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Partner with all students and families through frequent communication, building trusting relationships, and embracing the knowledge parents have as their child’s music teacher.
- Communicate with students and/or parents on the progress of each student.
- Share students’ and parents’ goals and progress frequently.
- Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
- Ability to teach the instrument you are proficient in, such as drums, guitar, keyboard, etc.
- Skilled ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area you will be teaching.
