A well-established, independent accountancy practice based in Stafford is looking to appoint an experienced Bookkeeper / Accountant to join their small and friendly team.
This is a varied, hands-on role that would suit either a qualified accountant or an experienced QBE who enjoys working closely with clients and getting involved across a broad range of accounting work.
You will be responsible for a mixture of bookkeeping and accounts duties, supporting a portfolio of clients across their day-to-day accounting requirements.
What you will be doing as a Bookkeeper
- Preparation of year-end accounts for a range of clients
- Bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts
- Bank reconciliations and general ledger work
- Assisting clients with day-to-day accounting queries
- Liaising directly with clients and building strong working relationships
- Supporting with general accounts and practice-related duties as required
