Overview
As our Office Manager, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the office, ensuring everything operates efficiently while supporting multiple departments across the business. You’ll be the go-to person for colleagues, helping solve problems, coordinating activities, and keeping the business organised. You’ll also provide administrative support for our HR function, helping to ensure employee records, recruitment administration, onboarding, and compliance processes are maintained to a high standard.
During busy recruitment periods and when members of the Recruitment Team are on annual leave, you’ll also provide additional support to ensure the recruitment process continues to run smoothly.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the head office.
- Act as the first point of contact for office enquiries and visitors.
- Support Directors and the wider management team with administrative tasks.
- Coordinate office supplies, equipment, maintenance, and facilities.
- Organise meetings, diaries, travel arrangements, and company events.
- Assist with HR administration, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, references, and compliance documentation.
- Support the Recruitment Team during busy periods and provide cover during annual leave, assisting with candidate communication, interview scheduling, recruitment administration, and onboarding activities.
- Support the maintenance of confidential personnel files and HR systems.
- Liaise with managers across our children's homes to provide administrative and operational support where required.
- Help coordinate company policies, training records, and documentation.
- Assist with projects and business initiatives as the company continues to grow.
- Identify opportunities to improve office processes and efficiency.
- Be a flexible, reliable team player who is happy to support wherever needed.
- We're looking for someone who is highly organised, approachable, and enjoys variety in their role. You'll be someone who takes ownership, uses initiative, and can confidently juggle multiple priorities while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Previous experience as an Office Manager, Senior Administrator, or in a similar role.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience providing administrative support across multiple business functions.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to get involved in all areas of the business.
