A well-established multi-site food manufacturer is looking to appoint an Engineering Administrator to join the engineering team to provide administrative and organisational support, ensuring efficient operations.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Purchasing & Ordering: Manage order placement and accurately maintain the company purchasing system.
- Team Communication: Provide accurate, timely updates regarding order and delivery status to internal engineering team members.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external order processing contacts.
- Budget Monitoring: Track departmental expenditure daily to manage cash flow, escalating potential issues to the relevant Manager.
- Contract Administration: Manage annual contract payments on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis while flagging upcoming contract expirations.
- Audit Readiness: Maintain all engineering paperwork and filing systems to an audit-ready standard.
About You
- Qualifications: You'll ideally hold a business administration qualification or equivalent.
- Industry
Experience:
Previous experience in an administrative, technical support, or coordinator role, preferably within manufacturing or engineering.
- Systems & IT: Excellent IT skills across Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with exposure to maintenance management systems (CMMS/ERP) being highly advantageous.
- Detail Oriented: Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and high-level verbal and written communication skills.
