The Opportunity
OCU is delivering complex infrastructure projects that require strong coordination, planning and control. As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll support the delivery of projects from early planning through to completion, gaining exposure to all aspects of project management. If you’re looking to build a career in project management with structured development and real project experience, this is it.
What You ll Do- Support the planning and coordination of project activities and timelines
- Assist in developing project plans, scopes and resource requirements
- Track project progress, risks and dependencies
- Liaise with stakeholders to support communication and project updates
- Monitor budgets, costs and project performance against targets
- Prepare reports, documentation and project records
- Support quality assurance and ensure deliverables meet required standards
- Work alongside Project Managers to resolve issues and improve delivery
Essential:
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good communication and stakeholder engagement ability
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving capability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Desirable:
- Degree or qualification in project management, business, engineering or similar
- Experience supporting projects in construction, utilities or infrastructure
- Familiarity with project management tools or methodologies
- Bonus if you have experience working in a fast-paced project environment
