We currently have a great opportunity for a Senior Inspector to join our team.

As a Senior Inspector, you will support the Contract Manager in the planning and delivery of investment programmes, reducing costs and planning future works projects.

What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Inspector, you will:

Support the Contract Manager in the planning and delivery of investment programmes

Assist in the review and development of specifications to ensure consistency, quality, and value for money.

Assist in the review and development of specifications to ensure consistency, quality, and value for money.

Contribute to the planning and development of future works programmes.

Support the implementation of changes arising from new legislation, regulations, and industry requirements.

Carry out pre works start visits as required

Manage and monitor work on site, checking progress against programmes, our specifications, customer expectations and all Health and Safety criteria, taking corrective action where needed

Undertake post-completion inspections to ensure all works have been completed to the required standard.

What we are looking forTo be successful in this role, you'll bring a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and experience of managing contractors and construction projects on site.

Professional qualification with CIOB, RICS, or an HNC in a construction-related discipline.

Significant experience of working on-site and managing external contractors.

Strong technical building knowledge and expertise.

Knowledge and understanding of health and safety legislation and its practical application.

Experience of contract delivery and addressing performance or quality concerns when required.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers, contractors, and colleagues.

Ability to communicate technical and complex information clearly and effectively.

Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and its impact on programme delivery.

Full UK driving licence.
