Overview

Learning Resources Assistant – Full time 37 hours a week - Term Time Only (38 weeks).

Salary: £24,434 - £25,021 pro rata (actual salary £20,815 - £21,316 per annum).

Stafford College site.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and suitably qualified individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join the Learning Resource Centre team.

Responsibilities
  • To support student learning and assist students and staff in the use of appropriate learning materials (computers, books, journals, eResources, etc.).
  • To carry out general Library duties (issuing and returning resources, information retrieval, processing new stock, creating library and awareness day displays to promote library stock, shelf tidying, etc.).
  • To supervise the library, maintain discipline and a high standard of student conduct to ensure that users gain maximum benefit from the facilities.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Has a good standard of education qualified to Level 3 or equivalent and be willing to undertake relevant professional development.
  • Experience of working in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to deal with all college users in a polite but assertive manner.
