Zest Education are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a special educational school located in Walsall.
This exciting full-time role will commence ASAP and continue for the remainder of the academic year, offering a long-term opportunity to contribute to the development and growth of the students.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping the students discover and nurture their individual strengths. By fostering a strong community spirit, we encourage consideration, respect, and well-mannered behaviour among the students.
Responsibilities- Support students with SEND, including those with complex learning needs.
- Work with students of various age groups within the school; adaptability and the ability to improvise quickly are crucial.
- Maintain a calm, positive, and pro-active approach to supporting children within the classroom.
- Collaborate effectively within a team to maintain a supportive learning environment.
- Previous experience working with SEND pupils, especially those with complex learning needs, is essential.
- Calm, positive, and pro-active approach to supporting children; strong behaviour management skills.
- Ability to adapt and improvise; good collaboration within a team.
- Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
- Enhanced DBS (or ability to obtain one), DBS Update Service registration, and be able to provide references for the last two years; must pass safeguarding checks prior to clearance.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
