Hays Education About the Role Hays Education is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Reception Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Stafford from 13 April. This is an excellent opportunity for an Early Years specialist who is passionate about supporting children at the very start of their learning journey. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Create a stimulating and engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and holistic development. Track, monitor, and record pupil progress, providing feedback to parents/carers and senior leaders. Establish positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families, promoting excellent behaviour and a safe learning environment.

Collaborate with teaching assistants and Early Years colleagues to ensure inclusive and differentiated provision for all learners. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and wider school activities when required.

What We Are Looking For Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent EYFS-recognised teaching qualification. Proven experience teaching in the Early Years Foundation Stage, ideally within a Reception setting. Strong understanding of EYFS curriculum, assessment frameworks, and early childhood development. Excellent communication, organisational, and behaviour-management skills. A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to early learning.
