LEARNING RESOURCES ASSISTANT

Salary: £24,434 - £25,021 pro rata (actual salary £20,815 - £21,316 per annum)

Location: Stafford College site

Responsibilities
  • Support student learning and assist students and staff in the use of appropriate learning materials (computers, books, journals, e‑resources, etc.).
  • Carry out general library duties such as issuing and returning resources, information retrieval, processing new stock, creating displays to promote library stock, and shelf tidying.
  • Supervise the library, maintain discipline and a high standard of student conduct to ensure users gain maximum benefit from the facilities.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Good standard of education, qualified to level 3 or equivalent, and willing to undertake any relevant professional development.
  • Previous experience working in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident in dealing with all college users in a polite yet assertive manner.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).
