HLTA - Stafford - Job

We are recruiting for a committed and enthusiastic HLTA to join one of our Stafford schools; you will be joining a supportive, welcoming team.

Your role will involve you getting stuck straight into your role as a HLTA within the school; you will be responsible for delivering engaging learning activities, providing short term class cover (covering PPA) and assisting pupils' academic, social and emotional development day-to-day. The successful candidate will need to meet a range of needs, including SEND and EAL, whilst promoting positive behaviour and inclusion at all times.

Working closely alongside the class teacher you will be expected to contribute to displays, creating learning resources for pupils and general classroom organisation. At times, you may be required to support pupils with additional needs, invigilate exams and assist with occasional personal care.

• Work collaboratively with staff and parents.
• Long term cover opportunity to cover a minimum of 1 month, with the potential of being extended dependant on the school needs.
• Supporting the class teacher with learning, teaching, planning and general class needs.
• Providing individual and small group support where required to provide interventions for children who may require more personalised support.
• To be confident in supporting pupils with SEN needs - this may be on a more 1:1 basis where required - assisting with occasional personal care may be required.

• Must have at least one year's experience working with children in a primary classroom setting.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) plus the candidate must have experience at HLTA standards.
• Confidence leading a class when required.
• Is passionate and committed to providing the best support to pupils within your class in order to support them and the teacher with their learning.
• The ability to support SEN pupils when needed within the classroom; this may be through 1:1 or small group work.
• Comfortable commuting to Stafford daily.
• Enhanced DBS.
• Available to start ASAP.
• Fully registered to work with Academics.

Pay: £100 - £105 a day (dependent upon experience). Holiday pay is included on day rate.
