Zest Education is proud to be working with a supportive and forward‑thinking primary school in Stafford to recruit a dedicated full‑time Teaching Assistant to support across Year 5 and Year
6. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with upper KS2 pupils and wants to make a meaningful impact as they prepare for SATs and the transition to secondary school.
About the Role
The successful candidate will:
* Support teaching and learning across Year 5 and Year 6.
* Deliver targeted small‑group interventions and 1:1 support, including SATs preparation.
* Assist with core subjects such as reading, writing, and maths.
* Help maintain a focused, positive, and well‑organised classroom environment.
* Support behaviour management, classroom routines, and wider school activities.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience working with KS2 pupils, ideally in upper KS2.
* Is confident supporting learning in Years 5 and 6.
* Communicates clearly and builds strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff.
* Shows resilience, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach to supporting learning.
* Is committed to full‑time, long‑term work and helping pupils achieve their best.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
