Level 3 Teaching Assistant - Stafford - September Start - Long Term Cover Opportunity

Are you currently a Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for a fresh start this September?

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil on a 1:1 basis in a welcoming school located on the outskirts of Stafford. This will be a long-term opportunity ideal for a passionate Teaching Assistant wanting to make a meaningful difference in a child's education journey. You will be joining our partner school who consistently provide a nurturing, inclusive and supportive school environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, no two days will ever be the same which is what makes the role so fulfilling. You'll be working alongside an individual pupil, providing tailored support to meet their specific needs and helping them to access the curriculum. You may be required to adapt activities, support with engagement and implement new strategies that promote both academic progress and emotional wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

Provided dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs.
The ability to adapt learning materials and activities to suit individual needs.
Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and behaviour management.
Consistently promote behaviour and engagement in and outside of the classroom.
Uphold a professional and reliable approach at all times.
Build positive and trusting relationships quickly with staff, parents and most importantly the child.

What we're looking for:

A Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant (at least)
Experience supporting pupils with additional needs, ideally on a 1:1 basis.
A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach.
Is reliable to work within the same school supporting them on a daily basis, across a 5-day week.
Has strong behaviour management skills, utilising positive praise and techniques which promote positive behaviours.
Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or is willing to obtain one)
Can provide two recent professional references.
Is able to commute to Stafford for work.
Is fully registered (or willing to register) with Academics Pay: £93 - £100 per day, depending on experience. Holiday pay is included in the daily rate.
