The Role

A secondary school in Wolverhampton is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their department from September 2026 on a long-term supply basis.

The role involves teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics that inspire curiosity and a passion for learning. You will support students in developing scientific knowledge, practical skills, and analytical thinking while preparing them for GCSE Science qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver lessons across KS3 and KS4 in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
  • Create a positive learning environment encouraging all pupils to reach their full potential.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and attainment.
  • Contribute to the wider success of the Science faculty.
Qualifications
  • Hold QTS or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT).
  • Have experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4.
  • Be confident delivering lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Be committed to raising standards and supporting student achievement.
  • Have a passion for inspiring young people through Science.
  • Able to undergo enhanced DBS checks and reference checks as part of the vetting process.
