The RoleAn Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Walsall is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join their Humanities department from September 2026 on a supply basis.
The role involves teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that develop students' understanding of physical and human geography, environmental issues, sustainability, and global challenges. You will support pupils in preparing for GCSE Geography, encouraging analytical thinking, enquiry skills, and strong subject knowledge across mixed-ability groups.
Responsibilities include planning and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, and maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and achievement. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure students receive a stimulating and supportive learning experience.
The Candidate- Hold QTS or be an ECT
- Have experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4
- Be confident delivering GCSE Geography content
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Be committed to supporting pupil progress and engagement
- Have a passion for developing students' understanding of the world around them
