Lecturer in GCSE & Access Biology

LECTURER IN GCSE BIOLOGY – Part‑time, Hourly Paid (3 hours per week, evening sessions)

Salary: £25.38 per hour

Location:

Stafford College

• Teach on agreed GCSE and Access Biology programmes.
• Play an active role in the marketing of the College and Department through activities such as open days and liaising with local employers and schools.
• Engage in core duties including preparation, marking, monitoring student progress and preparing reports.
• Set and mark examination papers, and develop and prepare flexible learning materials.
• Teach GCSE Biology one evening a week.

• Teaching qualification (PGCE or DTTLS) or willingness to obtain one.
• Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
• Well organised, able to manage peaks and troughs of a varied workload.
• Effective communication with students and peers.
