Pay: £162–£251 per day (dependent on experience)

Are you a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teacher looking to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people?

We are partnering with a number of specialist schools across Staffordshire to recruit passionate SEMH Teachers for roles starting in September 2026
.

These schools support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
, as well as those with Autism (ASC), ADHD, attachment difficulties, trauma-related needs and challenging behaviour
. You'll play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential.

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Create a safe, structured and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour and personal development.
  • Build strong, positive relationships that promote trust and engagement.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, pastoral teams, therapists and parents to provide holistic support.
  • Monitor pupil progress and implement strategies to improve outcomes.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH, SEND or challenging behaviour is desirable.
  • Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
  • A patient, empathetic and resilient approach.
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
