Class Teacher - SEND School
Are you an experienced and compassionate Class Teacher with a passion for supporting young people with Autism and additional learning needs? This lovely special school in South Birmingham is seeking a committed Class Teacher to join their dedicated team on a permanent basis.
This school caters for secondary-aged students with Autism and complex learning needs, offering a supportive environment and personalised curriculum. As a Class Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons to meet a wide range of needs. You will work alongside skilled teaching assistants and benefit from excellent leadership and CPD opportunities. This role requires a teacher who is patient, creative, and passionate about helping every pupil thrive.
Job Role:- Teaching a class of pupils with Autism and complex learning needs
- Planning and delivering a tailored curriculum based on individual needs
- Working closely with teaching assistants and therapists to support pupils' development
- Managing behaviour positively using consistent, nurturing strategies
- Contributing to the wider life and ethos of the school
- A permanent role in a supportive, inclusive SEND setting
- Small class sizes with excellent staff-to-pupil ratios
