Contract: Full-time Permanent

Salary: MPS/UPS with a TLR available for Head of Drama responsibilities

A secondary school in Staffordshire with a long-standing reputation for excellence in the performing arts is seeking a full-time Drama Teacher with the potential for Head of Drama responsibilities for the right candidate. This is a significant opportunity for an ambitious practitioner to help shape the future direction of a well-established department.

The successful candidate will teach Drama across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 including GCSE and A-level Drama/Theatre Studies. You will lead the schools annual whole-school production organise theatre trips for students and oversee the management of the drama departments budget and resources. For candidates taking on Head of Drama responsibilities the role will also include line management of drama support staff and strategic oversight of the departments direction.

Requirements

  • Degree in Drama Theatre Studies or a related field and QTS

  • Strong subject knowledge across KS3-5 including GCSE and A-level

  • Experience directing and managing whole-school productions

  • Leadership or management experience desirable for candidates interested in Head of Drama responsibilities

  • Strong organisational skills including departmental budget and resource management
