History Teacher — Academy in Staffordshire

Salary: MPS/UPS paid to scale (pro-rata if part-time)

An Ofsted Outstanding 11-18 academy in Staffordshire is seeking an exceptional History Teacher to join its well-established Humanities faculty. This is a truly excellent opportunity for a teacher at any stage of their career who wants to work within a school that sets the bar very high and gives its staff the tools and support to reach it.

The successful candidate will teach History across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 (AQA) with strong and growing sixth-form groups and a clear departmental commitment to analytical evidence-based historical thinking. The role includes contributing to the departments annual trips to significant historical sites participating in the facultys curriculum review programme and for more experienced candidates supporting ECTs through the schools internal mentoring scheme.

The school is flexible on full-time or part-time hours and will build a timetable to suit the successful candidate.

Requirements

• Degree in History and QTS

• Strong subject knowledge across KS35

• Confidence delivering analytical evidence-based History teaching

• Experience or willingness to support ECTs through mentoring

• Enthusiastic approach to historical enrichment and educational visits
