English Teacher – Full Time – Stafford Start Date

TARA Professional Recruitment are working in partnership with a secondary school in Stafford who are seeking a committed and enthusiastic English Teacher to join their team from January.
The school is looking for a dedicated teaching professional who can provide high-quality English teaching and support pupils in achieving their potential. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established school team and make a positive contribution to pupils' learning and progress.
Overview of the Role
We are currently recruiting for a full-time English Teacher to teach across the secondary age range, delivering engaging and effective lessons and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering English lessons, supporting pupils' development across the curriculum and creating a positive classroom environment where pupils feel motivated to learn.
Responsibilities will include:

* Planning and delivering engaging English lessons in line with the curriculum.

* Teaching English across the relevant secondary key stages.

* Preparing resources and adapting lessons to meet the needs and abilities of pupils.

* Assessing, monitoring and supporting pupils' progress.

* Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, engagement and achievement.

* Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

* Working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing to the wider English department.

* Following school policies, procedures and safeguarding expectations.
The school is looking for someone who can confidently deliver the subject, build positive relationships with pupils and provide continuity of learning throughout the placement.
Qualifications / Experience Required

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

* Experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.

* Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering the English curriculum.

* The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons.

* Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.

* Strong communication and organisational skills.

* The ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet different learning needs.

* A professional, reliable and enthusiastic approach.

* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Suitable Experience
We welcome applications from teachers with experience delivering English across Key Stages 3 and 4. Experience teaching GCSE English would be particularly beneficial.
The ideal candidate will be confident managing a full teaching timetable, supporting pupils of varying abilities and maintaining a positive and purposeful learning environment.
We would be particularly interested in hearing from teachers who can demonstrate strong subject knowledge, effective lesson planning and a genuine passion for English and pupil achievement.
