While our industry transformation keeps accelerating with increasing renewable integration in Europe, we see a key role for our Grid Automation businesses by providing real‑time digital solutions to monitor, protect and control complex and inter‑dependent electrical networks.
Job SummaryThe Grid Automation (GA) P&L Leader for UK & Nordics will be responsible for building the business strategy for the region addressing these growing challenges and opportunities from our market. They will develop the P&L and ensure first‑class operations, directly managing the commercial & operational functions (Sales, TAE, Order Fulfillment, Projects, Engineering, Services, Technical Support).
Responsibilities- Promote a safe working environment, ensure compliance with EHS, quality and Integrity policies (GE Values)
- Ensuring Grid Automation growth within the region. Building and driving strategy plan, with commercial/sales function, and operational capabilities, maintaining C‑Level contacts with our Keay accounts in the region (incl. NG, SSE, SPEN, Energinet, Orsted, etc…)
- In charge of delivering the Budget P&L: orders growth, sales, margin, cash, cost control, Risks & Opportunities, and recovery & mitigations plan
- Lead change management to ensure teams accountability, business focus and customers mindset within the team
- Be responsible for building strong long‑term relationships with customers,
- Manage skills and development plan of the team (project & account management, expertise for complex project)
- Forecast, budget, and manage financial performance, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Build and lead high‑performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability and results.
- Identify risks and opportunities, provide recommendations to leadership for strategic decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and ethical standards
- Reports directly to the Regional General Manager for region.
- Master’s degree from an accredited university or college or same knowledge/experience.
- Proven experience in leading a P&L, strong business acumen with successful management experience and discipline in managing a business.
- Strong capacity to lead multi‑cultural teams and to work in international matrix organization. Ability to easily interact at various levels of the company including executive leaders.
- Ability to influence and to drive changes through exceptional leadership & communication skills, personal engagement, resilience, autonomy. Ability to achieve organizational goals.
- Experience in telecom, good understanding of the telecommunication market in Europe and SSA.
- Fluent in English.
