📍 Nationwide role | Base:
Stoke-on-Trent
🚐 UK travel required – working away up to 4 nights per week

A well-established UK engineering contractor, part of a major infrastructure group with a multi-billion-pound order book, is looking to appoint a Site Fitter / Installation Engineer to support growing water treatment and process engineering projects across the UK.
This is a hands-on, site-based role offering nationwide work, long-term security, and genuine career development within a critical, recession-resistant industry.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for installing, servicing, and commissioning water treatment equipment on sites across the UK.
Key responsibilities:
* Mechanical installation and fitting of water treatment equipment
* Servicing, maintenance, and commissioning activities
* Working safely in environments including confined spaces and at height
* Taking ownership of site tasks and reporting issues promptly
* Supporting continuous improvement and positive client relationships
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
* Mechanical fitting or hands-on engineering experience
* Experience with in the water industry or similar heavy engineering environment
* Strong health & safety awareness
* Willingness to travel nationwide and stay away during the week
* Team-focused, reliable, and proactive attitude
* Basic IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable (training provided):
* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
* CSCS / CPCS
* PASMA / IPAF
* Confined Space
* SSSTS
* First Aid
* Plant operation tickets
