CAD Draughts man

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for CAD Draughts Man on a 6 Month Contract, based in Stafford/ Hybrid
Role Summary
To produce accurate, high-quality technical drawings for substation projects (National Grid), supporting engineering teams and ensuring all deliverables meet project specifications, standards, and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare detailed General Arrangement (GA) drawings, layouts, schematics, and related technical documentation.
 
* Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and version control in line with project and company procedures.
 
* Interpret engineering mark-ups, specifications, and design data to produce precise drawings.
 
* Support engineering teams by updating drawings, incorporating design changes, and resolving drafting queries.
 
* Ensure all drawings comply with applicable industry, client, and company CAD standards.
 
* Assist with document control and drawing issue processes.
 
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure drawing accuracy and consistency.
Requirements
 
* Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software.
 
* Experience working on substation, high-voltage (HV), or electrical infrastructure projects.
 
* Strong technical drawing and detailing skills.
 
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
 
* Ability to interpret technical information and engineering drawings.
