Engineering Technician – Stafford Fulfilment Centre
Full-time, £48,127.56 – £48,127.56 per annum (contracted hours: 40.25 / week, 4 on 4 off, 12‑hour shifts, day and night rotation)

Our Fulfilment Centre includes a high degree of automation, containing an automated storage and retrieval system and associated conveyance, designed to streamline and improve our e‑commerce operations. We seek engineering technicians with experience in the maintenance of MHE (materials handling equipment) and other assets to support facility operation. The engineer will provide both reactive and pro‑active maintenance for all operational equipment and infrastructure, ensuring site productivity and operations remain optimal.
Key Responsibilities- Prioritise health & safety in all work, ensuring compliance with all health & safety standards and regulations.
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns, communicating clearly with affected parties and working efficiently to resolve issues.
- Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and providing feedback and suggestions through the line manager.
- Maintain high equipment availability for internal customers.
- Support the management of contractors.
- Multi‑skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems.
- Experience fault finding within MHE (Material Handling Equipment)/automation systems.
- Experience interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Experience with conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.
- Completed a full engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
- Experience of sortation machines.
- Experience maintaining/configuring barcode scanners.
- Experience with print and apply machines.
- Experience in fault finding on building equipment (HVAC, dock doors, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance tasks).
