HVDC Automation Test Engineer

For one of our globally leading tech clients we are urgently looking for an experienced HVDC Automation Test Engineer for a long contract based in Stafford, UK

Its paying well and my client can interview asap!

• Design and develop automated testing frameworks.
• Create and maintain test automation strategies and plans.
• Develop automation scripts following company standards and best practices.
• Support the development and enhancement of in-house automation tools.
• Execute automated tests for applications involving PSCAD and MATLAB environments.
• Analyze test failures and communicate findings to engineering teams.
• Perform test execution and generate comprehensive test reports.
• Drive automation initiatives to maximize testing efficiency.
• Contribute to continuous process improvements, introducing new tools and methodologies.
• Collaborate effectively with software development and validation teams.
• Support global projects and participate in cross-functional engineering activities.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Power Systems, Power Electronics, Automation, or related discipline).
• Knowledge of power systems and power electronics, or equivalent experience in embedded system testing.
• Experience in automation testing across industrial or engineering domains.
• Experience working with test frameworks for embedded systems.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel globally and work flexible hours when required.
