Job Description Summary
We are seeking candidates to join our Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP). This entry‑level engineering program, part of GE Vernova, is committed to developing high‑potential talent with a passion for technology and a drive for technical excellence. EEDP participants will work on impactful, technically challenging projects, receive advanced engineering and business leadership training, and benefit from mentorship and coaching.
Roles and Responsibilities- Work on impactful, technically challenging projects in the power transmission industry over four 6‑month rotations in disciplines such as Design, Analysis, Systems, Strategy, Project Engineering, and Quality.
- Enhance core engineering skills through advanced courses in engineering and business leadership training attended alongside other GE Vernova program members.
- Receive technical training, mentorship, and coaching from world‑class technologists and experienced technical managers.
- Participate in development training with other GE Vernova Development program members.
- Grow technical expertise in your chosen field and expand skills in new areas.
- Fresh graduate with a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (students majoring in other STEM subjects such as Mathematics or Physics are also welcome).
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Proficient in common engineering software tools such as Matlab/Simulink, Python, Creo, PSCAD, ANSYS, Solid Works, AutoCAD, or C/C++.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship or relocation support).
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screen (as applicable).
- Knowledge of power systems, power electronics, and high‑voltage engineering.
- Self‑motivating, proactive, and results‑driven approach.
- Problem‑solving and root‑cause identification skills.
- Strong team and interpersonal skills; ability to work in project teams in a diverse environment.
- Ability to work to deadlines with good quality.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Adaptable and collaborative in a fast‑paced, globally distributed team environment.

Niskayuna, New York (on‑site).
