We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, repair and fault-finding to support the refurbishment, maintenance and upgrade of Ground Support Equipment (GSE).

Key Responsibilities:

Testing, diagnostics, repair, maintenance, modification and calibration of mechanical equipment.
Fault-finding and repairs through to component level.
Working from engineering documentation, ASI and OEM data.
Surveying equipment and recommending repairs, refurbishment and modifications.
Supporting reverse engineering and development of test procedures.
Providing technical advice and supervising junior staff/apprentices.
Working within engineering governance, safety and quality standards.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

Mechanical maintenance, repair and fault-finding experience.
Ideally from a Defence, aerospace, GSE or heavy engineering background.
Level 3/4 engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
Recognised engineering apprenticeship/advanced or higher apprenticeship.
Eligible for Eng Tech registration under UK-SPEC.
Experience with testing, diagnostics, calibration and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
