This role would suit an Applications Engineer with several years of experience in power systems, particularly substation protection, looking to develop their career within a customer‑facing technical role involving training, technical support, product development and international travel.
The role:- Provide product consultation, training and technical support on protection testing and diagnostic equipment
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide on‑site customer support relating to applications
- Develop and deliver product training through classroom sessions, field‑based training and webinars
- Provide input into new products, product strategies, development and application requirements
- Develop application notes and technical papers and present at relevant seminars and conferences
- Applications Engineer or similar
- Several years of experience within power systems, particularly substation protection
- Basic understanding of IEC 61850
- Flexible and willing to travel internationally, with up to 50% travel
