The role of Electronic Hardware Engineer gives an excellent opportunity for a motivated candidate to expand their design skill and personal development within an internationally recognised company in this exciting field. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures.
Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance. As the successful candidate, you will have experience in:
- EMC and EMI environment
- PCB Design, layout and worked with High layer boards
- HV, Digital and Analogue
- Working on industrial products (Power Generation / utilities, Automotive, Aerospace etc)
Successful Candidate Overview:
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of electronic components & principles. An ability to think innovatively and apply engineering knowledge. Have an enquiring mind and desire to learn new skills, an ability to apply different engineering methods and a willingness to share knowledge are essential qualities.
- Digital electronic circuit design and development.
- Analogue electronic circuit design and development.
- Knowledge of schematic capture supervision.
- PCB layout supervision including rules & constraints.
- Electronic component selection, analysis, and qualification testing.
- Knowledge of component level design error analysis & testing.
- An awareness of Controllership and ROHS / REACH compliance.
- Experience of FPGA component selection.
- Product verification (bench testing) and validation (integration testing) testing.
- Experience of type testing - EMC, Environmental, Halt.
- Electronic design for EMC PCB interactions within power electronics systems.
- Design for manufacture (DFM), test (DFT), industrialisation & design to cost.
- Practical electronic bench testing experience.
The candidate should ideally have electronics expertise at Batchelor's graduate level or equivalent experience, but most importantly will have a good level of the technical understanding of digital, and where possible analogue electronic design for an industrial control system.
