Permanent, 37 hours per week

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and delivery of a wide range of housing and homelessness strategies and projects to address housing need across both Stafford Borough and Cannock Chase District Councils. You will work closely with a wide range of internal and external partners to formulate and deliver a range of intervention so that support and maximise delivery of affordable housing.

The role provides a unique opportunity to be in the thick of the Council’s strategic functions where housing makes a vital contribution to residents wellbeing and quality of life.

About you

You will have:

  • Knowledge of current housing issues and policies at a level to enable the development of policy response
  • Understanding of the wider reaching impacts of housing on health, wellbeing and homelessness.
  • The ability to make maximum use of housing analysis tools and data sources in order to assess market trends
  • Experience of performance management, able to set goals and targets and take appropriate mitigating action when necessary
  • Experience of working with a range of stakeholders and partners to deliver housing related projects
  • The ability to lead project teams and commission work packages/studies/briefs
  • The ability to work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders and manage, develop and motivate people in order to help achieve the authority's objectives and maximise their contribution.
