Band H (SCP 24 - 28) £35,412 – £39,152 per annum, pro-rata (pay award pending). Permanent, 37 hours per week.

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and delivery of a wide range of housing and homelessness strategies and projects to address housing need across Stafford Borough and Cannock Chase District Councils. You will work closely with internal and external partners to formulate and deliver a range of interventions to support and maximise delivery of affordable housing. The role provides a unique opportunity to be in the thick of the Council’s strategic functions where housing makes a vital contribution to residents’ wellbeing and quality of life.

About

you

You will have:

  • Knowledge of current housing issues and policies at a level to enable the development of policy response
  • Understanding of the wider reaching impacts of housing on health, wellbeing and homelessness
  • The ability to make maximum use of housing analysis tools and data sources in order to assess market trends
  • Experience of performance management, able to set goals and targets and take appropriate mitigating action when necessary
  • Experience of working with a range of stakeholders and partners to deliver housing related projects
  • The ability to lead project teams and commission work packages/studies/briefs
  • The ability to work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders and manage, develop and motivate people in order to help achieve the authority’s objectives and maximise their contribution
