HMP Stafford is a male prison with a capacity of 753, 45% of the population is over 50's.
Working as a Pharmacy Technician, you will be based within the healthcare department and potentially some wing based work.
Hours- Monday - Sunday service
- 37.5 per week over 4 days
- 7.45am - 5.30pm
- 1 weekend 3 and to work bank holiday as they fall within the rota
- 6 week rolling rota
This position is full time contract, you’ll receive an annual salary between £29,264 - £33,510 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks
What you'll be doing- Provide outstanding quality based patient centred care to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
- Focussing on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
- Deliver non-judgemental care within the scope of professional standards. Involving anything from the timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy.

- NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
- Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
