As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) youll have the opportunity to work with children in a supportive environment that values quality care and meaningful patient relationships. Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Provide pediatric occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist and in accordance with physician-approved treatment plans.
- Implement individualized therapy programs to improve fine motor skills sensory processing strength range of motion mobility self-care and functional independence.
- Educate parents and caregivers on home exercise programs adaptive techniques and strategies to support continued progress.
- Accurately document patient treatments progress and outcomes in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists Speech-Language Pathologists Physical Therapists nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Build positive relationships with children and families while delivering compassionate patient-centered care.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies state regulations and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current Texas Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license or eligible to obtain licensure before the anticipated start date.
- Pediatric experience is preferred but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for working with children and helping them achieve developmental milestones.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
