Group IT Support Technician – The HEX Group, Hixon
Location:

Employment type:
Full time.
Support the IT team in delivering a comprehensive IT service to enable the HEX Group to meet its corporate objectives and business targets.
Key Accountabilities- Installing, configuring and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues
- Repairing and replacing damaged computer and network components
- Installing, configuring and maintaining servers
- Ensuring the security of client and server computers by installing and upgrading antivirus and firewall software
- Supporting users whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices
- Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly
- Testing new hardware and software before full-scale installation
- High level of Microsoft 365 experience and administration
- Backup management, configuration and monitoring
- To undertake project work as assigned by the Group IT Manager
- Liaising with third‑party support
- Reliable and punctual
- Exceptional communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Hands‑on IT generalist with the ability to learn
- Experience in Active Directory and server configuration
- Experience in network configuration
- Experience in Microsoft 365 administration
- Desired qualifications:
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Administration or similar (not essential)
- Professional manner
- Friendly and polite manner
- Excellent work attitude
