The RoleAs a Data Engineer, you'll play a key role in developing and maintaining the company's data platform, ensuring business-critical data is accurate, accessible and trusted. Working within a collaborative technology team, you'll help deliver data-driven insights that support operational and strategic decisions across the business.
You'll work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, contributing to data engineering, reporting, analytics and data quality initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain and enhance data pipelines and data models
- Build and optimise SQL-based transformations and reporting datasets
- Write complex SQL queries to answer business-critical questions
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights
- Monitor and improve data quality across the organisation
- Maintain technical documentation and data definitions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data solutions
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience working with relational databases and structured datasets
- Previous experience in a data-focused role involving data transformation, analysis or engineering
- Experience using Git/version control
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
- Self-motivated with a proactive and commercially-minded approach
