Customs Administrator

Stafford, Commutable from:
Stoke-on
- Trent, Uttoxeter, Telford, Wolverhampton, Cannock, Stone. Rugeley, Lichfield

16.10 per hour (Umbrella) Inside IR35

12 month initial contract

Excellent role for someone with previous customs or import experience who is looking to develop their skills while working within an established team for a global market leading company.

Do you have experience in customs, imports or trade? Are you looking for a varied administrative role within a highly regulated and constantly evolving environment?

This company are a truly multinational organisation who have an unrivalled reputation for the high quality of their products the world over. Due to their continued growth, they are now looking to add to their specialist team.

In this role you will be working within a 5-person team, managing day-to-day import and customs activities alongside another team member. You will be responsible for preparing clearance instructions for customs brokers, reviewing import documentation and ensuring shipments are processed accurately and compliantly.

The role will be full time and based on site in Stafford.

The Role:

  • Managing day-to-day import and customs activities within the business
  • Preparing clearance instructions for customs brokers such as DHL and SIFA
  • Reviewing import documentation and ensuring entries are accurate
  • Supporting the timely and compliant movement of materials into the facility
  • Working closely with customs brokers and internal teams
  • Long term 12 month contract working within an established 5-person team

The Person:

  • Previous experience within customs is essential
  • Experience with in trade, imports, logistics or supply chain would be beneficial
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Able to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, SharePoint and Outlook
  • Any relevant customs or trade qualifications would be beneficial but are not essential
